Review for E.L.F. BeautyBook Neutral Eye Edition

I really wanted to get the E.L.F. Beauty Encyclopedia Everyday Eye Edition but unfortunately it is currently sold out online. So when I waltzed into Target last night for a quick trip to the cosmetic section and saw this I knew it was meant to be. For only $5 you get 12 generous sized shadows in beautiful tans and purples. You also get a dual ended sponge applicator brush and brown eyeliner.

Swatched & labeled all twelve shadows:

And created 2 looks:
{Using B, C, F, & I}

{Using A, C, D, G, & J}

My general feelings about this palette is that it is a great starter kit for anyone but it is also a great addition to anyone's makeup collection. It comes with a "How-To" Guide on the back of the cover. Though I didn't use it I'm guessing it would be very helpful for those beginners out there. You can make endless looks with this from sultry and sexy to natural and fresh which is why this is such great buy. The majority of the shadows are shimmery with a few mattes. I wouldn't say this palette is particularly pigmented, however the colors are neutral so I wouldn't expect them to be. I don't use sponge applicator brushes and would have preferred a regular brush instead. I didn't really care for the liner either, it was hard and tough to put on. But I truly do love the colors in this palette and they all blend quite nicely. All in all I liked this palette and look forward to purchasing many more E.L.F. Palettes.
